KC Bar™ Joins Flagship Recovery Drink Line in Kill Cliff Family of Premium Sports Nutrition Products

KC Logo for websiteATLANTA – July 24, 2014 – Further strengthening its leadership position in the premium sports nutrition space, Kill Cliff announces the upcoming launch of KC Bar, a new line of protein bars to complement the company’s flagship recovery drink portfolio. With KC Bar, Kill Cliff adds protein and fiber delivery to its overall mix of product benefits in an effort to satisfy a more comprehensive spectrum of consumer nutrition demands and taste preferences. The move also extends the playing field for Kill Cliff to encompass both food and beverage products.

As the company continues to expand its national distribution footprint for Kill Cliff Recovery Drink, the addition of KC Bar positions Kill Cliff to increase points of availability per retail outlet for the brand among other strategic interests. “The success of the drink has been tremendously rewarding, and we will remain front-side focused,” said Kill Cliff Founder & CEO Todd Ehrlich. “At the same time, it has always been my intention to out-maneuver the stiff competition we face in the marketplace with a premium protein bar to complement our premium recovery drink. This is a big day for us, and the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our company and the Kill Cliff brand.”

The KC Bar line will consist of four delicious flavors at launch: Chocolate Chip Cookie, Salted Caramel
& Almond, Strawberries & Cream and Mocha Almond Brownie. Each flavor will contain 20-21 grams of protein, 13-16 grams of fiber and 2-4 net carbohydrates, key macronutrients that aid in recovery from strenuous activity. As with the recovery drinks, the KC Bar line contains no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, no sugar added, and is gluten-free.

Starting this Friday, July 25th, visitors to the Kill Cliff tent at the 2014 Reebok CrossFit® Games at the StubHub® Center in Carson, CA will be among the first to taste the four flavors of KC Bar. This announcement comes the day after releasing news of Kill Cliff’s ‘Free Fall’ promotion where a portion of the proceeds of the new limited edition Kill Cliff camouflage can will benefit The Navy SEAL Foundation.

KC Bar will launch initially at www.KillCliff.com in the upcoming weeks and subsequently reach select retail stores nationwide. More details to come.
